Tizi n'Tichka · Aït Ben Haddou · Dades & Todra · camel trek and camp in Erg Chebbi
Three days, two nights and one unforgettable sunset on a camel. This loop from Marrakech crosses the High Atlas, follows the road of a thousand kasbahs and reaches the great dunes of Merzouga, where a desert camp waits for you under the stars.
We collect you from your riad in the morning and climb into the High Atlas, stopping at viewpoints and Berber villages along the Tizi n'Tichka pass. After lunch you explore the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, then drive past Ouarzazate and Skoura's palm grove to the Dades Valley, where you sleep in a guesthouse facing the gorge.
A short morning walk between the vertical walls of the Todra Gorge, then east through Tinejdad and Erfoud. In the late afternoon you reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi, swap the car for a camel and ride towards the camp while the sand turns red. Dinner, drums and an enormous starry sky.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise from a dune, have breakfast and ride back. The return goes through Alnif, N'Kob and the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate and over the Atlas to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
