Itinerary

Day 1 · Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Pick-up at your hotel, riad or the airport in Casablanca. Drive along the Atlantic to Rabat for a short visit of the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of the Udayas, then inland to Meknes and its monumental Bab Mansour gate before reaching Fes.

Night: Riad in Fes

Day 2 · Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Merzouga

Leave Fes through Ifrane and the cedar forest of Azrou, home of Barbary macaques, cross the Middle Atlas to Midelt and descend the Ziz Valley and its palm groves. In the late afternoon you ride a camel into Erg Chebbi for the sunset and your night in the desert camp.

Day 3 · Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fes

Sunrise and breakfast in the dunes, then north along the Ziz palm groves, over the Middle Atlas through Midelt and the cedar forest to Fes.
